I honestly was really worried about spending so much money but this is not just any hairdryer! It's an absolutely amazing hairdryer! No more burnt scalp, fried hair and heavy hairdryer. Makes drying your hair an absolute pleasure. Sounds crazy but it's true! The hairdryer itself is light, the heat is adjusted automatically as it gets closer to your hair. The result is no more burnt head & hair. Dries evenly with a warm blast but not intense heat. My daughter is 11 and I dry her hair with it too. She commented on its colour, how light it was, it no longer makes her head feel like it's burning and her hair doesn't feel so dry after the crazy intense heat Would not go back! Love it.

Yes it's a splurge but it does cut down significantly on drying time and my hair feels much nicer. I have bleached hair so heat protection is a must. The gentle air attachement works wonders. As far as noise go, it's ok. The usual Dyson noise, which I feel is lesser than a regular hair dryer. I do also love the fact that it slows down when you set the dryer on the counter, it's a nice technology to have!

It may be amazing if you use attachments which is something I do not. I flip my hair upside down and blow it out. I do use heat protectant. This dryer made my hair turn into straw, and knotted it up so bad I had to cut it. Unfortunately not for me.

My hair is shiny so it wasn't the extra shine I needed but i was always wondering about the experience of drying without a hot dryer. I always blow dry my hair straight without a straightener. This is quite.a bizarre experience because I would blow dry it poker straight wake up with kinks in my hair. I also found when I was drying it it, after coming out of the shower with no knots, I could get knots when drying with this dryer. The nural was on special and I thought it would be a good Xmas present to myself. The dryer is GORGEOUS, the colours are stunning and the whole kit is absolutely great quality. However....the 'nural' function is next to useless, when it's on it reduces temperature to the extent it takes forever to dry your hair, and without it - it's really no better than my old Dyson. The attachments are great although I only have use for 2 of them. All in all, I'm happy I could return this unit. If and when my old Dyson hairdryer breaks I'd replace it with one of the older (and cheaper!) ones.

In order for the 3 dots or lights of heat, the unit has to be held too far away from the head. My wife's arms aren't long enough to do this and the strain is causing shoulder pain - it is not light. By the time the ‘hot' air gets to the head, it just feels room temp or slightly warm. Drying hair takes at least 3 times longer than our previous cheaper hair dryer. Certainly not suitable for short hair - if you use your other hand to tossle your hair to aid drying, the unit thinks it is too close and drops the temperature, prolonging the drying. Would much rather have bought the unit without the special feature! Not having an active unit available ...

I was excited to finally try the Dyson Nural, but even with scalp protect off and having the dryer on the highest settings, I couldn't blow out the waves near my scalp. I don't have super wavy-waves either. I have natural, fine blond hair, but a lot of it. It also left my hair kind of feeling like straw. The diffuser was AMAZING for my waves though, but cannot justify keeping it just for that 😋

The Dyson dryer has changed that, I can now just blow dry my hair in less time and not have to use the straightener. My hair is softer and probably healing from the exesive heat damage.

But the quality is not quite good as before and it seems like this for a while. The reason is the first dryer we got was found a long scratch on the body when unboxing. We did the exchange and expected a new one with no defect. Unfortunately, there is still a scratch on the body as well. The product itself seems good and fine. We are tired of exchanging again and kind of whatever as long as it is working. But my wife and I are disappointed at the quality check at this point.

But it turns out not to work well for me. I ended up turning Nural off and using the low fan speed and lowest heat setting. This hair dryer is quieter but slower than my other cheap ionizing hair dryer. The cord is long and bulky, and with the attachments requires almost a full bathroom drawer for storage. I think it is overpriced, even at the sale price. It it heavy and large. I'm sorry I bought it.
